Through The Years

With eyes on the future, Aurealis maintains clear roots in its history. The noteable dogs below have

shaped the path for Aurealis to reach new heights with every generation and to continue to exemplify excellence.

Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen

Judge Pat Starkweather of renowned Glen Hill Collies

  • 1991 CCA Best of Breed

  • 1992 CCA Award Of Merit

  • 2000 CCA 11+ Rough Veteran Dog Class Winner

  • Sire of 19 Champions

Blake was special from the beginning. He burst out of the gates winning all specialty majors, the first under legendary Collie icon Judge Billy Ashenbrenner. By 2 1/2, Blake was a CCA National Winner. Though a young special at the time, Blake could not be denied that day and glided himself into Collie History. Blake was handled to Best of Breed at the CCA by Debbie Falk and was later campaigned on the East Coast by Tom Coen.

Gina is one of the top winning bitches in breed history and the top winning Rough tri-color to this day. Always impeccably handled by Janine Walker-Keith.

Sky is behind almost every dog at Aurealis to this day. Sky was the grand sire of Ch. Aurealis  Silverscreen.

Ch. Aurealis Blueprint

  • Winner of 10+ BISS

  • Winner of Multiple Herding Group Placements

Tyler was the product of our judicious outcross to the prolific sire Ch. Gambit's Trick Of Light, ROM. Excelling in head detail, Tyler consistently produced virtues we greatly admire.

(Ch. Gambit's Trick Of Light, ROM x Aurealis Ambience)

Ch. Tartanside Brocade, ROM

Emma was acquired from John Buddie of Tartanside Collie when we were looking for a beautiful, well-bred and typey bitch to add to Aurealis Collies. Emma was the product of two exquisite and undeniable producers- Ch. Southland's Bowen Island, ROM x Ch. Tartanside Foolproof, ROM. With her parents and beautiful littermates, Emma was a born producer. Her most iconic offspring include: GCHG Aurealis Endeavour, ROM 2x CCA AOM, GCHS Aurealis Coldplay, ROM CCA BOS, AOM and GCHB Aurealis I Am Whimsical CCA BOS.

(Ch. Southland's Bowen Island, ROM x Ch. Tartanside Brocade, ROM)

GCh. Aurealis Perfect Storm

Landon was a standout from the beginning. Exuding beautiful expression and body lines, he was destined to be special. Landon's specials career was short and we believe he would have done many great things as a show dog and a producer if given more time. We lost Landon quickly to a virus that swept our kennel in 2014. Landon's passing has been one of our biggest devastations in dogs. We are thankful to still have him in our pedigrees through his daughter, Aurealis Bedazzled.

(Ch. Aurealis Blueprint x Ch. Tartanside Brocade, ROM)

Ch. Aurealis Bronze Glory

  • Winner of 10+ BISS

Sunny was the littermate brother to Blueprint and was equally as outstanding. Sunny had numerous hard to get virtues, a light and lean head paired with a flat and filled skull. Sadly, we never got puppies from this exquisite dog.

(Ch. Gambit's Trick Of Light, ROM x Aurealis Ambience)

Aurealis Always Treasured

  • 2000 CCA Open Sable Bitch Class Winner

Tiara is still one of our favorite bitches of all time. She was beautiful in every way and is our mental image of what a Collie bitch should be. Tiara won a top quality Open Sable Bitch Class at the 2000 CCA handled by Tom Coen. Tiara had 8 Major Reserves and was unfortunately never finished as time slipped away. Tiara's full littermate sister, Aurealis Fantasy Diamond, can be found in many pedigrees of  the Countryview Collies.

(Tartanside Preview, ROM x Ch. Lochlaren's Lyric Of Aurealis)

GCH. Deorsa's Mother Of Dragon's

2017 Collie Club of Canada National Specialty Best of Breed

Daenerys came from our first Smooth litter in over 30 years which consisted of 5 Smooth Champions. At a young age, Daenerys won the 2017 CCC National Specialty from the BBE class under Judge Carole Stanley of Afterhours. Daenerys was bred by Deborah Falk, Julianna Falk, Kathleen George and Shauna George and was owned by Kathleen and Shauna. Daenerys tragically passed away in 2020 at only 4 years old. This beautiful girl certainly had a bright future ahead of her.

Ch. Gentry's Aurealis Di Amore

Zoe impressed us from the very beginning, winning multiple specialty majors and finished by going WB/BOW/BOV/BOB over specials at the PNWCC under Judge Phyllis Autrey. Though never specialed, Zoe excelled in the whelping box. Her dam was a full littermate to the beautiful Ch. Fantasy's Rising Dragon, ROM - 2010 CCA Best Of Breed.

(Ch. Fantasy's Night Odyssey x Fantasy's Gentry's Magic Moment)

Ch. Lochlaren's Lyric Of Aurealis

Lyric was spectacular and her pedigree is nothing short of iconic and pristine. Sire Silverscreen and dam Theme Song were half siblings, both were sired by Ch. Countryview Motion Picture, who sired only two litters in the U.S.A before making his way to Japan. Lyric played a vital part in our breeding program and when bred to Tartanside Preview, ROM gave us Ch. Aurealis Bronze Legend and Aurealis Always Treasured. Almost all of our Collies go back to Lyric and her offspring.

(Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen x Ch. Lochlaren's Theme Song)

Ch. Aurealis Bronze Legend

  • 1996 CCA 2nd Place Bred By Exhibitor Dogs

Barron was the full littermate to Aurealis Always Treasured. Sharing many of the same attributes as his sire Preview, he excelled in the ring and even more as a sire.

(Tartanside Preview, ROM x Ch. Lochlaren's Lyric Of Aurealis)

Aurealis Bedazzled

Taylor was exceptional and though she never finished, she made it up in the whelping box. She is the dam of one of our top producers Ch. Aurealis Rumor Has It, ROM, BISS GCHB Aurealis Zandria's Winning Colors and Ch. Aurealis Glitteratti, to name a few.

(GCH. Aurealis Perfect Storm x Ch. Gentry's Aurealis Di Amore)

Ch. Harbor-Lite Aurealis Allure

Paige was certainly a testament to her beautiful sire, Silverscreen. Being one of his best daughters, she personified everything a Collie should be, being beautiful and intelligent. Paige was a treasured part of a young Falk family. Paige was a multiple Best in Specialty Winner and multiple Herding Group Placement Winner.

(Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen x Marko's Bit Of Black Magic)

Ch. Aurealis Savannah

Savannah was the first home-bred Champion of Aurealis Collies. Her dam was our foundation bitch and first dog registered under the Aurealis prefix. Savannah was a multiple Specialty winner and natural show dog. She was a vital stepping stone in our future. She was bred to 1979 Winner's Dog Ch. Glenecho Set The Style which later led us to Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen.

(Ch. Tamarack Eclipse x Aurealis Mariposa O' Shoreham)

Aurealis String Of Pearls

Kira was the elegant daughter of the Silverscreen son, Admission. Kira contributed to making our dreams a reality.

(Ch. Countryview Admission x Aurealis Bitter Sweet)

Ch. Aurealis Crystal Chimes

Crystal Chimes is known by us as our first "Peaches". She was simply beautiful every way you looked at her. Peaches was bred to the magnificent Ch. Aurealis Skylarking and that breeding resulted in a bitch named Aurealis Affectionately, Silverscreen's dam.

(Aurealis Damascus x Ch. Aurealis Crystal Waters)

Ch. Aurealis Screen Play

Screen Play was line-bred Aurealis and was everything we want in a tri dog. He finished at under a year old with all specialty majors.

(Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen x Ch. Aurealis Crystal Chimes)

Ch. Aurealis Hail To Reason

(Ch. Aurealis Skylarking x Ch. Aurealis Savannah)

Ch. Marko's Aurealis Showtime

(Ch. Aurealis Silverscreen x Ch. Marko's Witching Women)

Ch. Aurealis Engraved In Gold

Hannah was a typey sable bitch that is remembered for her sweet nature. Hannah finished quickly handled by Laurie Jeff Greer.

(Tartanside Aurealis Affirmed x Aurealis String Of Pearls)

Aurealis Fairway Fandango

  • 2002 CCA 4th Place Open Tri Dog

Rico was the son of the famous MBIS MBISS Ch. Aurealis Charidan Regina. Though never a big time show dog, he excelled at being a Junior Showmanship dog for the young Falk girls.

(Society Niteridge Hot Topic x Ch. Aurealis Charidan Regina

Ch. Aurealis Heritage Acclaim

(Ch. Aurealis Skylarking x Regency Heritage Debut)

Aurealis Whimsical

Ch. Aurealis Tiffany's Jewel

(Ch. Aurealis Skylarking x Ch. Aurealis Savannah)

Ch. Aurealis Crystal Waters

(Ch. Aurealis Skylarking x Aurealis Athena)

Ch. Aurealis Motif

Motif was the first smooth ever shown under the Aurealis prefix. It wouldn't be for 30 years that we would have an additional smooth. Another blue bitch, known as GCHB. Aurealis Ambition.

(Ch. Aurealis Skylarking x Ch. Fontaine's Scandal)
