From a puppy full of promise to an exceptional adult, Kasen has made all of our dreams come true. Possessing a beautiful long, lean and detailed head, round muzzle and exquisite expression, Kasen has been admired by the breeds finest specialty judges, expert all breed judges and respected breeders. Kasen's fairy-tale career is one that very few even fantasize of accomplishing as a dominant show dog or stud dog. Kasen's promising career started in the 6-9 puppy class where he attained his Championship easily, picking up all specialty majors, and finishing under breed icon John Buddie (Tartanside), with top Sheltie Breeder Judges Patricia Skinner, Gayle Eads and Melanie Williams also finding him along the way.
Kasen was the product of Bowen's last frozen semen, bred to our top producing Endeavour daughter, CH Aurealis Rumor Has It, ROM. He was Champion #78 for his prolific sire Ch. Southland's Bowen Island, ROM - 2002 CCA Best Of Breed. 21 years later, Kasen would also glide into Collie History and follow in his Sire's footsteps by winning 2023 CCA Best Of Breed under Breeder Judge Larry Willeford - Windcrest Collies, an endeavor never to be done before by both father and son. Kasen has proved to be a valuable sire, producing consistent virtues we hold highly and re-establish virtues that the breed has lost. He is a 4x CCA Stud Dog class winner and currently the sire of 77 American Champions, including the 2021 Kem Memorial winner, 2022 CCA Rough Winners Dog, 2021 CCA Smooth Reserve Winners Dog, multiple CCA Award of Merit winners, Multiple BISS winners and Herding Group One winners. Kasen has also contributed to the breed in Canada with 14 Canadian Champions, several who are also Multiple BISS winners and Best Puppy In Show winners. Kasen's young progeny are just starting their Specials careers, many of which we expect to be dominant. Kasen has 3 sons and several daughters on their way to ROM status as well. Kasen will go down in history as a CCA National Winner and a Top Producer, something a minuscule amount of Collies can profess. His accomplishments aside, Kasen's center of the universe attitude is what we love most.
