Aurealis has always kept it small with an emphasis being quality not quantity.  With a passion for expression and elegance plus soundness, Aurealis has engineered a line of dogs that exude breed type that adheres to the AKC Collie Standard.  We emphasize temperament and feel that all Collies should be able to perform the duty of what they were bred for. Many of our Collies have been successful not only in conformation but agility, herding, obedience, therapy, tracking and enjoy being lifelong members of the family. We are proud to have accomplished this with limited breeding's and careful selection. We carefully plan each and every litter with the goal to better the Aurealis bloodline and improve the quality of Rough and Smooth Collies. Our puppies receive the finest care and are monitored extensively to ensure optimal success. Aurealis puppies have high expectations for us and we are honored to share them with people from around the world. We pride ourselves in breeding outstanding quality and temperament consistently in our puppies and this leads to great accomplishments in their everyday lives.  Aurealis Puppies are available beginning at 9 weeks of age.

If you are interested in an Aurealis puppy, we require a completed Puppy Application before you or your family are considered as a potential home. To receive our Puppy Application, please email us below. We require a phone interview and check references diligently. If approved, a refundable $300 deposit is required to reserve your place on our list. This deposit goes towards the overall price of the puppy. Requests-if any, such as gender, color,  or coat type are also required during this process. We reserve the right to pick the puppy that best fits the requests the buyer specified in their application. If puppies become unavailable or there is not one that adheres to a buyers expectations, they may wait for a puppy from a future litter or have their deposit refunded immediately. Additionally, the deposit is 100% refundable up to the point that the litter turns 3 weeks of age. After that point, we reserve the right to retain the deposit if we need to further market the puppy in order to find an approved home.

Health Testing: In an effort to ensure that your puppy is healthy, health testing allows breeders to help you towards that goal. We DNA test our sires and dams for major health issues that may effect collies including but not limited to: DM, DMS, CEA, and PRA and various OFA tests such as Cardiac, Elbows and Hips. Our resources tab has articles to further your understanding of diseases and defects that can afflict dogs in general and Collies in particular.
Collie Eye Checks: We have our puppies' eyes checked at 7-8 weeks by reputable Canine Ophthalmologist Dr. Sullivan at the Seattle Animal Eye Clinic. You are ensured accurate results and are given a certified eye check certificate with your puppy. Our breeding stock is Mild CEA(Collie Eye Anomaly) and 100% clear of Progressive Retinal Atrophy(PRA).
Vaccinations: Depending on the age of your puppy, the proper vaccines are administered before leaving Aurealis. Our puppies receive preventative deworming to avoid parasitic conditions.
Wellness/Health Checks: All puppies have a wellness/health check by a Veterinarian prior to going to their new home.
Socialization: Our puppies are given an abundance of attention and are socialized to numerous environments such as: car rides, other pets, and people of all ages. We pride ourselves in the temperament of our breeding stock and are hopeful to share our sweet, happy and playful collies with you.
Collie Ear Taping: We begin taping our puppies ears at 7 weeks old. This is a diligent process that must occur in order to achieve the correct ear set, shape and tip of the ear for the proper Collie expression.

Sable: Predominately Sable, ranging from fawn sable color of varying shades of light sable to dark mahogany with white markings usually on the chest, neck, legs, feet and tip of the tail. The Sable Merle appears sable and will typically have a lighter sable color with merle speckles.
Blue Merle: A mottled or marbled color predominately blue-grey and black with white markings on the chest, neck, legs, feet and tip of the tail and tan markings on the legs and face.
Tri-Color: Predominately black, carrying tan markings on the legs and face and white markings on the chest, neck, legs, feet and tip of the tail.
White: Predominately white, preferably with sable, blue-merle or tri-color markings. When both parents inherit the white-factored gene, color-headed white offspring appear.
